The Doula Book

I am in the process of becoming a Doula. In order to get my certificate I have a book list I have to complete. One of the books is The Doula Book (Second Edition) by Marshall H. Klaus M.D., John H. Kennell, M.D., and Phyllis H. Klaus, C.S.W., M.F.T. This Book I have yet to read but it is the first book I will be completing.
It  is about how a rained labor companion can help a mother have a shorter, easier, and healthier birth. It also has different topics sure as the need or support in labor, the special role of the doula, and postpartum care. This book is just one of the many that is on my list. Hopefully I will be about to get reading on this very soon.

3-D Films

Dictionary.com defines 3-D films as a motion picture that enhances the illusion of depth perception. A regular motion picture camera system is used to record the images as seen from two perspectives. Special projection hardware and eyewear are used to provide the illusion of depth when viewing the film.
3-D films are not just limited to theater releases. Television and direct-to-video films have also had similar methods but this is primarily for marketing purposes.
3-D films have existed since the 1950s but have not been used very much because of the costly hardware and processes required to produce and display a 3-D film.  They were featured in the American cinema but later experienced a worldwide view in the 1980s and 90s. This was from the IMAX theaters and Disney movies. 3-D movies have become more successful throughout the 2000s, with multiple movies.

The Story of Stuff

The Story of Stuff with Annie Leonard. Have you ever wondered where all of our "Stuff" goes when we through it out? Well that's what this movie is about.
The texts book say that everything goes through a system. This system is called the materials economy. This system is in a crisis. The system does not run by its self. It is ran by people and some of these people are the government. This government is supposed to be of the people, by the people, and for the people. That was the true statement. Its the government's job to watch out for us. To take care of us. The government seems to be looking out of the cooperation more as they have been getting bigger then us.
We are running out of resources. Becouse of this we are cutting down trees, tearing down moutians and killing the animals. We are using to much stuff in order to be running out of resources. In the past three decades we have used up one third of the world's natural resources. Not only are we using to much stuff but we are using more then is needed.
Next the matural's move to production. There we use natural energy and toxins to mix with the natural resources. As long as we keep putting toxins in our production system wee are going to be getting toxins in our stuff. In fact , she talks about how we dip our pillows in toxins that are dangerous to the brain and then we put our heads on them.
We are putting all these toxins in our body and then giving them to our familys. Breastfeeding is the best example. We are putting thesse toxins in our body and through breastfeeding giving them to our babies. That is harmful. Its not just resoucres the are getting wasted. Its also people and thier families.
Next comes selling the products. The goal here is to keep the prices down, keep the idems selling, and to keep the people buying. Its also all about externaliazed the costs. That means we are not really paying the real price.
The main thing that the governemt worries about is how much we consume. 99% of everything that goes through this systm is trash in less then six monthes. Statices show that we have more stuff but or less happy. This is believed to be becouse we have less time for stuff that really matters, family and friends.
Everything we trash gets burned and that lets the toxins out. That puts us right back to where we started.

Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh was born March 30, 1853. Vincent loved art from a very young age, lthough he did not start painting until his late twenties. He worked at a art museum through his life but never shared his art.
Vincent Van Gogh had trouble with woman. He fell in love but when he proposed she refused. After being turned down he chased her back to her homeland. Later on in life, he fell in love again but she also refused. That time he cut off one of his ears.
With the help of his brother, he was able to get his paintings on the market. Vincent van Gogh didn't sell any paints until right before his death. He became suicidal and shot himself. He didn't kill himself but he did bleed to death from the wound.
